General Information
-
The best way to start is by scheduling a free 30-minute phone consultation with me and/or completing my booking form which can be found on my Contact Alicia page.
-
I understand how daunting it is to find a therapist. You spend hours scrolling through databases only to face unanswered emails or full schedules. It's frustrating to feel like you're starting over!
I want to eliminate that stress and make the process simple.
As a highly skilled professional, I constantly undergo continuous training to ensure you receive the best care. What truly sets me apart is my boutique therapy approach, which is designed to remain intimate and focused on building a strong, effective relationship with you.
My commitment is to be a genuine and reliable part of your life, someone who is fully present and shows up for you consistently week after week.

Yes, virtual sessions are equally inviting and grounding. This is a perfect option if you prefer to connect from your own cozy space or have a busy schedule. We will still feel connected and you'll feel supported.

I offer in-person sessions at my office in Tech Park at 13 Technology Drive, East Setauket. The location is quite accessible, being centrally situated near Stony Brook Hospital, Route 347, and Nicolls Road. Most importantly, the office itself is intentionally designed to foster comfort, calm, and connection—a space crafted to help our therapeutic work truly stick.
-
That's a vital question. While I do have a specialized focus on the unique challenges and pressures faced by Millennial and Gen Z women—and this is where I often do my "best work"—my extensive clinical experience allows me to effectively support a broad and diverse clientele.
I proudly work with everyone who is ready for authentic change. The foundation of my practice is that therapy is a highly personalized experience. The true deciding factor for success is not your age or gender, but whether we share a strong therapeutic fit—a genuine connection where my expertise aligns with your needs.
If you are seeking support, I encourage you to schedule a free consult. Everyone is welcome to reach out and explore if we are the right match to help you achieve your goals.
-
The free initial consult is a crucial step because, while I am professionally trained and skilled, it's equally important that I stay in my lane to ensure you receive the most effective care.
It Ensures the Best Fit: Therapy only works when there is a strong, trusting relationship. The consult is a low-pressure way for you to assess my style and expertise, and for me to understand the nature of the challenges you are facing.
It Upholds Ethical Care: My commitment is to your well-being. If, during the consultation, I determine that your needs are beyond my scope of expertise (e.g., severe addiction, specific disorders requiring a higher level of care, or a modality I don't specialize in), I will be completely transparent.
A Confident Referral: If your needs fall outside my practice, I am happy to use my professional network to connect you with the right person—a highly qualified specialist who can provide the targeted support you deserve.
The goal is to ensure that wherever you land, you are receiving the highest quality, most appropriate care possible.
-
Individual sessions are 45-50 minutes, intakes are 60 minutes.
-
The duration of therapy really depends on you—what you're ready to explore and how long you feel you need support. Every journey is unique!
Our deepest commitment is to help you reach a place where you feel stable, truly empowered, and confident in yourself. We'll make sure you leave with the practical tools you need to sustain your progress and live life with a strong sense of freedom and well-being.
-
After our consultation, our first session is relaxed and collaborative. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, what you’re hoping for, and how I can support you. No pressure and no need to have it all figured out. I’ll also walk you through scheduling, payment, and answer any questions you may have—including gaining access to your patient portal and setting up your account.
-
Yes. I’m currently accepting teens and adults for therapy across New York. You can meet with me in person in East Setauket or from anywhere in the state via virtual sessions. The best way to see if we’re the right fit?
Schedule a free 30-minute consultation. It’s low-pressure, relaxed, and all about you.
-
Absolutely not. You don’t need a formal diagnosis, a crisis, or to hit rock-bottom (unless constantly feeling overwhelmed by everything on your calendar counts, which, perfectly valid). If something feels off—even subtly—that’s your valid reason to explore support. Therapy is an opportunity for clarity, profound connection, and ongoing healing at any stage of life.
-
Everything that is said during a therapy session is completely confidential with three exceptions:
1) If a child is in danger
2) If you are in danger of harming yourself
3) if you are planning on harming another person
-
Absolutely, yes. Your peace and privacy are my top priority. My office is a private, completely separate, and confidential suite within the Wellness Center. It's designed with extra care to be your sanctuary—100% focused on you and fully separate from the gym operations.
I chose this specific location so you could enter a total wellness environment, but our work together will always remain uninterrupted, predictable, and deeply confidential.
Rates & Insurance
-
This is one of the most important questions you can ask! My goal is to make your financial investment feel manageable and totally transparent.
I offer several payment options to find the right fit for you:
1. Insurance Benefits (Let Me Handle the Headache)
Yes, I work with many major insurance plans as an in-network provider and can also provide documentation for out-of-network benefits.
Honestly, navigating insurance is complex—even plans within the same company (like Blue Cross Blue Shield) can vary wildly. I don't want to give you the wrong info!
Here's my promise: My team will run a free, confidential benefits check for you. This will clarify your exact copay, deductible costs, and in-network status before we start, so there are no financial surprises.
2. Private Pay & Sliding Scale
• Private Pay: I accept private pay for clients who prefer flexibility and full privacy from insurance companies. We can discuss my standard session fee and how this option works during your consult.
• Limited Sliding Scale: I reserve a limited number of spots for a sliding scale for those experiencing financial hardship.
Ready for the Easiest Next Step?
Schedule a free 30-minute consult We'll use that time to initiate your benefits check and discuss the absolute best payment option and specific session fees for your situation. Let's make this part easy!
-
I aim to make payment simple and secure. I accept all major credit cards, Zelle, and Venmo.
To secure your client portal access and ensure seamless billing, I require a credit card to be kept securely on file. I am unable to accept cash.
-
To respect both your time and mine, I require 24 business hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
If notice is provided with less than 24 business hours, you will be responsible for the full session fee. Please note that my office is closed on holidays, and these days are not counted toward the 24-hour notice period.
-
I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots. Please reach out for availability.
-
Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to understand the cost of your care upfront.
What this means for you: You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” (GFE) detailing the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services, including therapy sessions and related fees.
This estimate is provided to clients who are not using insurance or who do not have insurance.
I will provide your Good Faith Estimate in writing at least one (1) business day before your first scheduled service. You can also request a GFE at any time before scheduling.
Keep your estimate! If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the charge.
My commitment is to transparent, open financial conversations. Please ask for your Good Faith Estimate during your consult or before we begin our work together.
