What we’ll work on
Imagine a life where…
01 you experience geniune freedom
Imagine moving through the world without the constant fear of being morally flawed or making an unforgivable mistake. You will have the freedom to act spontaneously, guided by intention, not anxiety.
02 you connect authentically
You could finally drop the secret mental burdens, allowing you to be fully vulnerable and present in relationships without needing constant reassurance or confession about your feelings.
03 you strengthen your resilience
That means recognizing anxiety is just a feeling, not a fact. You will possess the deep confidence to face triggers (like uncertainty), knowing you have the skills to tolerate distress without needing a mental or physical ritual.
Do you feel like you have no control over your thoughts?
are you struggling with obessive, intrusive thoughts that feel too shameful or overwhelming to share with anyone?
do you feel a powerless against your own thoughts?
do you constantly worry that you are a bad person or there is something wrong with your character?
Have you ever wondered if your internal struggles may be the result of obessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)?
It's common to experience thoughts that feel frightening or disturbing, making you feel entirely powerless to control them. Perhaps you are experiencing significant emotional distress that interferes with your ability to carry out day-to-day tasks because of how intensely these negative thoughts consume your focus. You might even grapple with the debilitating worry that you are fundamentally a bad person or that there is something deeply flawed within you. For example, a new parent might be experiencing intrusive and irrational, unwanted fears of harming their baby—things you would never do. The more intense and disruptive these cycles become, the more clarity you gain that it is time to seek specialized OCD therapy with a qualified mental health professional.
Reclaiming Focus and Productivity from OCD
The relentless intensity of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) often makes it profoundly difficult to maintain focus and productivity in daily life.
While the symptoms vary from person to person, OCD is consistently defined by intrusive thoughts and rigid compulsions that are so consuming they actively interfere with your ability to perform your job, manage routine tasks, and regulate your stress effectively.
You may become entirely preoccupied with your rituals—whether it's repeatedly checking with others for reassurance, going to extreme lengths to ensure safety, or endlessly ruminating on past conversations. These behaviors drain your time and energy, leaving little left for a fulfilling life. Crucially, the more you try to satisfy a compulsion, the more potent and demanding your underlying anxiety becomes.
Ready to Break the Cycle?
If you are ready to gain control over your symptoms and break free from the behaviors that reinforce them, I encourage you to pursue specialized OCD therapy. My mission is to help you gradually reduce your fears, allowing you to feel truly empowered and stop letting OCD dictate the terms of your best life.
Decoding OCD: Moving Beyond the Misconceptions
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) remains one of the most widely misunderstood mental health issues today.
The term "OCD" is constantly used casually—often to mean being meticulous or liking cleanliness, much like when public figures say, "I'm so OCD" about organizing or washing their hands frequently.
While a preoccupation with cleanliness and contamination is a subset of the disorder, OCD is profoundly more complex than a simple preference for tidiness. Many individuals suffering from OCD are tormented by disturbing and upsetting intrusive thoughts that generate severe anxiety and emotional distress. This anxiety can manifest in various ways: worrying about hurting others, intense fears regarding personal safety (or the safety of loved ones), or persistent concerns about contracting serious illnesses. The spectrum of OCD-related anxieties is vast, yet due to how misunderstood the condition is, far too few people receive the specialized help they truly need.
In fact, the average person with OCD spends an alarming 17 years struggling with the condition before receiving a proper diagnosis (1). Many are initially misdiagnosed with generalized anxiety, depression, or other disorders that overlap symptomatically with OCD.
This is why seeking professional, specialized support is vital. As a therapist who specializes in treating OCD, I can help you clearly understand both what OCD is and—critically—what it is not. Once you have this specialized clarity and accurate diagnosis, managing and overcoming your symptoms becomes significantly more manageable.
I’m here for you.
You cannot simply think your way out of OCD thoughts, specialized therapy provides the tools and skills necessary to interrupt the cycle, allowing you to stop feeling overwhelmed by your own mind.
You cannot simply think your way out of OCD due to its inherently irrational nature. OCD powerfully convinces you that the only way to relieve anxiety and feel safe is by engaging in the very rituals and compulsions that perpetuate the cycle. Unfortunately, the more you rely on these behaviors, the more dependent on them you become.
The core goal of my work is to significantly increase your capacity to tolerate anxiety, thereby reducing your reliance on OCD behaviors. This therapeutic approach empowers you to feel safe and secure without having to endlessly check on things, seek constant reassurance from others, or perform other habits dictated by fear.
I understand that certain OCD fears can feel deeply embarrassing to talk about, but please know that I am highly specialized in treating these fears and will approach them without judgment. My goal is to provide a shame-free atmosphere of unconditional acceptance where you can learn new, evidence-based skills for managing, reducing, and challenging your stressors.
Here’s what we’ll do together
Recovery is more than possible—it is your next chapter. I am committed to equipping you with the specialized tools you need to quiet the noise of OCD and start living a life that is guided by your values, not your fears.
I use specialized, evidence-based methods that seek to slowly and systematically expose you to your OCD fears in a safe and controlled setting. This process helps you build tolerance and confidence so that you can stop relying on your rituals and make empowered choices when you are triggered. My approach helps you gradually build courage against your fears.
No matter how you feel today, I assure you it is possible to live a life where you aren't controlled by anxious thoughts. When you have the support and trust of a therapist who truly understands OCD and approaches your struggles without judgment, it becomes easier to overcome feelings of shame, stop engaging in unhelpful rituals, and experience peace of mind regardless of what's going on around you.
When all is said and done, here’s the thing:
You are not your thoughts, and you don’t have to feel controlled by them anymore
Reignite the PASSION you’ve been longing for.
Change is possible. I’ll help you get there.
