Do you crave a dedicated, beautiful space where you can unplug from your routine and focus entirely on your healing process?

Do you find that the deeper connection and non-verbal nuances of face-to-face interaction are crucial for your most authentic breakthrough?

When you choose in-person therapy with me, you are stepping into a strategic and supportive environment. While I maintain my private, confidential practice within the well-known Revival Strength & Recovery Wellness Center in East Setauket, this is a power deal for your total well-being.

I intentionally chose this unique location because the right environment is crucial for deep, authentic work. You gain access to expert, focused therapy in a facility already dedicated to strength, recovery, and holistic health.

This means your healing is integrated into a total wellness environment—you are showing up for yourself in a space that also houses services like massage therapy, personal training, sauna, and trauma-focused acupuncture. You don't just get a therapy session; you get a mental and emotional reset in a space that inspires you to commit to your total self.

While secure online therapy offers great flexibility across New York State, in-person therapy remains the preferred choice for many seeking a foundational, dedicated space for their work. The therapeutic relationship is at the heart of effective healing, and for many clients, this relationship is best nurtured through face-to-face interaction in a professional setting.

In-person therapy offers unique benefits that can significantly enhance our work together. The physical act of leaving your daily environment and entering my dedicated therapeutic space creates a crucial boundary between your life and your time for self-reflection. This transition helps you mentally prepare to fully engage and shows a powerful commitment to your own growth.

This is a sanctuary. This is your foundation. This is where you pause the hustle, drop the performance mask, and profoundly reconnect with yourself—supported by the convenience and energetic atmosphere of a leading wellness hub.

If this genuine sense of space and connection resonates with you, my private East Setauket office is the perfect fit for your authentic personal growth.

Learn calming, practical tools that help you feel grounded (even when your thoughts are running a marathon). Full Spectrum of Communication: In face-to-face sessions, both you and your therapist can pick up on subtle non-verbal cues, fostering deeper understanding and connection. Many clients find it easier to build trust and rapport with their therapist when meeting in person.

Establish healthy boundaries

Establish boundaries that powerfully protect your peace and honor your needs (without the immediate guilt reflex or that 20-minute internal debate!).Hands-On Techniques: Some therapeutic approaches, like EMDR or certain somatic therapies, may be more effectively delivered in person.

Navigate grief & loss

Navigate grief and loss with deep compassion, creating space to process (and yes…your feelings are absolutely valid, no matter how intense..because yes, it is really that bad.).Clear Boundaries: The physical separation between your therapy space and your personal space can help create mental boundaries, allowing for deeper therapeutic work.

Questions?

FAQs

  • It's very frustrating when your teenager is in therapy and you don't see any progress. The truth is, many counselors are not specialists in working with adolescents. As a trained professional and a school social worker right here in the community, working with high school students every day, you can trust that I get it. My approach is built on a wide range of specialized interventions, and I am confident that together, we can come up with a treatment plan that brings lasting and meaningful change into your teen’s life.

  • Many teens worry that an adult will tell them what to do, and that's a valid concern. Think of it this way: if you don't connect with your classroom teacher, it's going to be hard to learn the class material. The same concept applies to therapy. My approach is supportive and empowering, and most of the teens I see find therapy to be both fulfilling and rewarding. I'm not here to tell you what to do. Just as you see a doctor when you don't feel physically well, therapy is a place to come when you don't feel emotionally well, so you can build the skills to feel like yourself again.

  • Confidentiality is the most important part of building a trusting relationship with your teen. I use a limited confidentiality agreement, which means I will involve you in the treatment process without sacrificing the safe space your teen needs to open up. While the content of our sessions remains private between your teen and me, I will keep you informed of their progress. The only time I would break confidentiality is if I believed your teen was in danger of harming themselves or someone else.
